ALGANT-DOC is joint doctoral programme in the fields of Algebra, Geometry and Number Theory. Doctoral candidates will perform their work under joint supervision, in a co-tutelle framework, at, at least, two partner institutions, leading to a double and/or joint doctor degree.
Doctoral candidates are jointly selected by the ALGANT consortium and awarded an Erasmus Mundus fellowships covering up to three years of doctoral activities.
Every year, at the launch of the application campaign, the consortium will publish research projects to be carried out at at least two partners. On the basis of this offer, the prospective candidate will get in contact with the supervisors to prepare a pre-application. Pre-applications will be short-listed and after a month-long match-making period, applicants are required to submit a complete application, containing details on the research project.
The ALGANT-DOC commission will then select the best projects. It is expected that candidates will be in a position to start work on the project at the beginning of the next academic year. After the selection, a doctoral committee will be in charge of monitoring the candidate’s work.
